Hop into Spring!!!

SEM (Scrapping Everyday Miracles) is having a Blog Hop!!!
Come and join in!

MARCH 29th - 31st

For most of us (all of us in the Northern Hemisphere), Spring is upon us. Spring is such a beautiful time of year. Yes, it can be rainy and wet, but that rain brings the green grass, gorgeous flowers and the start of new growth. It is also the season of Easter...the holiday that celebrates the resurrection of our Savior...the one who came to give us new life and make us new creations!  "This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" 2 Cor. 5:17

And speaking of "new"...our Design Team has added some new members. Welcome to Toni, Jessica, Helen, Tracey S, and Christy...we're so happy to have them join us this term. Even though she isnt "new" we also have a returning member Lisa that has rejoined our team after taking a break.

Each of the Design Team members will share with you a Spring or Easter themed project and answer a couple questions (this is a great way to get to know each of these gals a bit better). Please "HOP" through the list to see the inspiration and learn some fun facts about these creative gals. And they'll even be a few chances to win some prizes along the way!

Here's the order...

Getting Gorjussly messy with ink

Hi y'all

I am still having fun playing with Simply Gorjuss. I think I will be for the next 2 weeks. I have some samples to make up for the store.

This card is will be accompanying the card I made of Gorjuss on a swing for a class in May at The ScrapNPatch.

I had so much fun with it. I felt like I was finally being me and getting in and enjoying some Tim Holtz distress inks. Oh the fun of getting messy with ink! I used Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Spiced Marmalade inks.

I also had fun using colours that I am not accustomed to use. I am super proud of this card and I hope the ladies will have fun making it.

 Have a blessed week!

Continuing to be Simply Gorjuss!

I have been having a wonderful time with the Simply Gorjuss collection by DoCrafts. She is such a sweet little thing!

The first of what I am creating are a couple of Step Cards. I have used watercolour pencils to colour the stamp. I found this an interesting challenge, because watercolouring is usually soft and delicate; Gorjuss is dark and grunge.

I will attempt some changes later on - see what she looks like as a blonde or a red head maybe?

Have you grabbed some Simply Gorjuss products for your stash? What have you made? I'd love to see!

Simply Gorjuss!

I am so excited about my new stamps!

Have you seen the Simply Gorjuss range by Urban Rubber Stamps? Soooo cute! So funky! So now!

I will be teaching water colour pencil colouring with these stamps within the next few weeks at The Scrap N Patch so be sure to tune in and see what is on offer!

Have a great week!

Ok peeps there is a new Challenge on at Scrapping Everyday Miracles! This is a lovely challenge and one I hope to join in on.!

Main Challenge #26

Hello dear friends! Marjolaine here to bring you March's Main Challenge.
This month’s challenge is to scrap about how it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Have you even given someone something or done something for someone with absolutely no strings attached, expecting nothing in return? How did that make you feel? Have you ever been overjoyed after giving something that made someone truly happy? Have you been the recipient of a gift from a child, so eager to bring you pleasure with something they made for you? Has someone ever done something for you that you could never pay them back for? In this world of always striving for more we can easily forget the blessing of giving to others.
So put your thinking cap on...and create a project about a gift you received that really touched your heart or a sacrificial gift you gave. Perhaps you could even make a gift to give (specifically for this challenge). wouldn't have to be a physical gift, do you have photos of when you donated your time to help out?
The scrap twist is to include some gems on your project.
